How it works

One day, four signals and one rule

What happens between waking up in a country and the app knowing you were there and being able to show it.

1Collect

The app looks; it does not ask you

A few times a day, and when the system notices you have actually moved, the app checks where you are. It is not continuous GPS: it uses the significant location changes iOS provides, which is the part that does not drain the battery.

  • Location, place changes and visits
  • Your photos: date, place and camera model only
  • The selfie of the day, if you want to confirm it yourself
  • Time zone and the country of your connection
2Resolve

Every day ends with a country and an honest label

  • VerifiedThere is at least one strong signal from that day.
  • CorroboratedTwo signals of different kinds say the same thing.
  • EstimatedBetween two verified days in the same country, with no travel in between.
  • ManualYou said so, and your word overrides everything else.
3Count

And then your country's rule is applied

You switch on the countries that affect you and each one counts its own way: its threshold, its window, and whether it counts nights, parts of a day, or the full days of arrival and departure. You can have several rules active at once.
