This started as a spreadsheet

My name is Erlantz, I write software, and I have spent years moving between countries. Every time a tax return came round I would lose an afternoon reconstructing the year out of flight emails, photos and memory, and always ended up with a spreadsheet I did not quite believe.

WhereIAm is that spreadsheet done properly: it fills itself in, it tells what it knows apart from what it is guessing, and it hands your location history to nobody, us included.

We are not tax advisers and do not pretend to be. That is why the rule catalogue cites each country's law instead of offering an opinion, and why we say out loud when a country has no number to count.
