What can we help with?
If you cannot find what you are after, write to us and a person will answer, not a form. support@whereiam.today
- Do I need an account?
- No. The app works in full without one and without a connection, and without an account everything it records stays on your iPhone. The account exists and is optional: it is there to sync between your devices.
- Will it drain my battery?
- It does not use continuous GPS: it leans on significant location changes and iOS visits, the mechanism the system is already running for other apps. It takes a single fix a few times a day.
- The app says I was in another country. How do I fix it?
- Open that day in the calendar and pick the right country. Your correction overrides whatever the app worked out, and stays marked as yours.
- Can I recover the months before I installed it?
- Yes, by importing your photos: the app reads their date and their place, never the image, and fills in the days it can. You can filter by camera so only the ones taken on your own devices count.
- What if I travel without my phone, or it runs out of battery?
- Those days stay unresolved and the app asks you about them in a list, suggesting the most likely country. It never fills them in as though it knew.
- My country is not in the catalogue. Is it still useful?
- Yes: you can record days in any country in the world. What you will not have yet is its threshold and its rule. Write to us and we will add it.
- Does this count as proof for the tax authorities?
- It is your record, not a certificate. It is there so everything is ordered and dated when they ask, alongside tickets, statements and the rest of your evidence. The methodology explains it in full.
